Since the introduction of the Greater Lafourche Port Commission and Port Fourchon in 1960, Picciola & Associates, Inc. has been heavily involved with the development of this deepwater port. Picciola & Associates, Inc., has completed projects with the G.L.P.C. for site development including loading dock facilities, bulkheads, crane pads, tank foundations, and intermodal roadway work.

Picciola & Associates, latest project with the G.L.P.C has consisted of plan development, project management and onsite inspection for the $13 million expansion of the third leg of the E-Slip.

Picciola & Associates, Inc., has been very successful in obtaining wetland permits for government agencies and private entities in response to commercial and private activities near and in wetland delineated areas. These mitigation projects are in direct response to wetlands lost by construction of various projects.

Picciola & Associates, Inc., has participated in commercial development for offshore oil service companies such as Ocean Marine, LLC., Aker Marine Contractors, LLC., L&L Oil Company, Inc., and John W. Stone Oil Distributors, Inc. Projects related to commercial development have ranged from total site development for conceptual design to complete construction to design and management of crane pads, tank foundations, and bulkheads.
